new furniture





I'm in the process of finalizing the plans for my kitchen remodel and it's caused me to reexamine my breakfast room furnishings.

I found the pieces above at area antique malls. The first is an English piece, but I'm seriously considering the Jacobean server or the Welsh dresser. And while I'm at it, why don't I update the chairs with the barley twist ones above?

What do you think?

Of all the pieces I love the chairs. It looks like blue leather from the photo.

The chairs are blue leather. Yum!
And I know... this look has been done a lot in Southern homes, but the English barley twist look is a classic. The pubby/Jacobean look is very appealing to me no matter how many times I see it.

Fun chairs. I love photo #3, and #2 is my second pick. #3 is the Welsh dresser? Must be my genes talking.

I would have loved to have found a Welsh dresser in Wales, but they are quite scarce!
